Step on-board a heritage steam train and travel back in time at the Ribble Steam Railway & Museum (Postcode PR2 2PD). Take a short steam train ride along Preston docks, wander around the museum filled with locomotives and carriages, and enjoy tasty fish and chips on-board.
There is a large free carpark at the museum, where we suggest arriving at least 30 minutes before your pre-booked journey time.
Just before your train departs for a 35 minute round trip, tasty fish and chips (or sausage and chip / veggie burger and chips it as alternatives, chosen when booking) are served/collected. You will also be given a drink and scrumptious flapjack or large biscuit.
Board the train and settle into seats on a private table for each group. There are bar drinks offered for sale too.
When we get back, you have plenty of time to look around the museum - highlights include the travelling post office carriage, vintage steam engines and freight vehicles of old.
Trains depart in the late afternoon / early evening.
We have some great reviews from our several years of operating steam train services, including:
"It was nice to have a bit of nostalgia from childhood memories"
"Staff was pleasant and helpful polite, questions through emails was quickly answered fantastic service"
"Lovely relaxing day out"
"Thank you to all who helped make our day feel really special. We all felt like VIP's. Well done!"
Dogs are welcome on-board, but must not travel on seats.
