Steam Train Travel with Fish & Chips (Leicestershire)
Event Summary
Take in the experience of riding in heritage carriages from the 1950s or early 1960s on a 16 mile round trip from Loughborough's beautifully restored station - in easy reach of Birmingham and the wider Midlands.
As we chuff along, you'll see two superbly managed stations; Quorn and Woodhouse which is set in the 1940s and Rothley set in the early 1900s. As this is Britain's only steam railway with double track, look out for other heritage trains whizzing past too!
Fish and chips are served/collected at the half-way point, to be eaten on the return journey. You will also be given with a drink and scrumptious flapjack or large biscuit.

Please note that tables are arranged in fours. Groups of two may be seated on the same table as other groups of two.
Frequently Asked Questions
Loughborough Station features a flight of steps from the road level booking office to the platform. There is a lift for those who require it.
There is a step up on to the train from the low platform. Boxes are provided as a step.
There is a wheelchair accessible carriage on the train. Please contact us to discuss availability.
Unfortunately, we cannot cater for gluten free on this journey. Our food is supplied by a traditional local fish & chip shop and is prepared in an area containing gluten.
There is usually an on board bar which is licensed.

The deadline for making alterations or cancellations to your booking is the Tuesday prior to your departure as we begin to prepare for your arrival after this time. Once this deadline is passed, we cannot make any further changes.
