We're delighted you are considering celebrating a special occasion with us!
Please note that access to your seats on board is usually limited before departure, as the train spends only a short time in the station between trips.
You're welcome to bring decorations to display in your compartment or on your table. For safety and preservation reasons, only Blue Tack is permitted - no tape or pins please.
If you'd like to bring a birthday cake, that is absolutely fine; however, candles are not permitted on board.
Yes - a bottle of water is included with your meal. However, most journeys also have a licensed bar on board where you can purchase additional drinks. There is also a cafe at the station, and you're welcome to bring any items you've purchased there with you on board.
There are limited toilet facilities available on board the train. However, the main toilets, including accessible facilities, are located at both Alresford and Alton Stations.
Open Seating:
- Groups of four will be given their own table. If your group is larger than four, we will seat you across the aisle from each other so you can still sit close together and enjoy the event as a group.
Compartment Seating:
- The number of people a compartment ticket for is the maximum allowed in that compartment. We do allow one additional young child or infant, beyond the stated maximum, however you must add an infant or child ticket when making your booking.
- For larger groups, we recommend booking open-style seating to be seated together, or purchasing multiple compartments. While we can't guarantee it, we'll do our best to allocate compartments next to each other if they are booked in the same order.
Due to the age of the heritage carriages and their fixed seating arrangement, we are unable to seat wheelchairs and mobility scooters in the main carriages.
However, if you are able to transfer we will happily provide assistance for you to board the train and allocate you the most appropriate seating so that you can comfortably enjoy your journey. Please contact our enquiries team at [email protected] to arrange this.
