Steam Train Travel with Fish & Chips (Derbyshire)
Event Summary
Take in the picturesque scenery on a 16 mile round trip from Wirksworth, just 14 miles from Derby, in a heritage carriage from the 1950s or early 1960s, hauled by a steam locomotive.
The food is freshly served/collected at the half-way point, to be eaten on the return journey. You will also be given a drink and scrumptious flapjack or large biscuit.

Points to Note
- Tables are arranged in fours. Groups of two may be seated on the same table as other groups of two.
- It is now possible to upgrade to a private table as a couple for £15. Charge per booking not per person.

Most journey times feature a licensed bar.
There is a cafe at the station too. You can take items with you on the train.
Limited toilet facilities are available on board the train.
The main toilets, including accessible facilities, are located at both Wirksworth and Duffield Stations.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide a gluten free alternative for this journey. Food is supplied by a traditional local fish & chip shop.
