Yes, Santa Claus will be coming to meet everyone personally at your specially reserved table or compartment in our vintage train carriages. He's even got a wonderful present for all children on his nice list.
Enjoy reading a story from our complementary Christmas book, a tasty gingerbread treat and - for the grown ups - a lovely mince pie.
You'll take your journey in an exclusive compartment or open seating around tables.

What's Included?
On Santa's Steam Train Adventure, there is lots to enjoy! Santa wants us to give you clues about what to expect...
- Steam train return journey of six miles from Furnace Sidings station in Blaenavon (NP4 9SF) lasting approximately 50-60 minutes.
- Reserved seating in a vintage carriage, either in compartments or open seats.
- Wonderful special teddy-bear present for all children aged 12 and younger - a different one for those who are returning from last year!
- Christmas storybook for all children aged 12 and younger.
- Gingerbread treat for all children aged 12 and younger.
- Mince pie for those aged 13 to 100+!
- Free parking.

The number of persons a compartment is for is the MAXIMUM number of persons permitted in that compartment. As an exception, we allow one infant per comparment over and above the compartment maximum to sit on the knee.

Seating Types


A traditional private compartment featuring comfortable bench style seating, walls and a sliding door.
A traditional 1950/60s coach with an open style interior. Seats are arranged around tables of 4.

No, your table will be for you.
We offer Nomo as a standard alternative to the included biscuit or mince pie. Nomo chocolate is vegan, gluten free, dairy free, nut free and egg free. This is available at to request at check in and you do not need to inform us in advance.
A lovely teddybear is the present for all children of both genders up to aged 12, a different design to 2024 for those who are returning.
There are walks involved in a visit but there are things we can do to make your visit easier. Please notify us when booking. Note that there are two steps onto the train, assisted by a grab handle.

Santa's train does not feature first class, but it is possible to book a private compartment. You can also add on a lovely gift tin to make your visit extra special.
Tickets which are on the same booking are automatically seated together. If you wish to be seated with friends or family which are booked under a different name, please contact us in advance no later than the Tuesday prior to your visit and we will endeavour to allocate you together.
