Line: Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway

The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway is a 2'6" narrow gauge heritage railway running through the beautiful Powys countryside in Mid Wales. The line travels through difficult terrain which is why the decision was made for it to be constructed in narrow guage back in 1903. The line is eight and a half miles long in total, however some events may not use the full length of track. Being narrow gauge, visitors can experience a different kind of steam power with it's unique carriages as they trundle along.
