About Us

Brought together by a love of heritage and a university course, Julie Fox & Olly Edwards began working together in late 2017 - preparing to mark 100 years since the end of World War One in 2018.

After a really successful event together involving railways, brass bands, actors and individual stories, they formed Fox & Edwards Events.

In the aftermath of the pandemic, they turned their efforts to supporting heritage railways across the UK to attract new visitors.

Journeys with catering and family themes - as well as a host of adventures - followed on the road to where we are today.

In early 2026, Julie moved out of the business to enjoy retirement to the full - and now, Olly runs the business with a dedicated team.

What We Do

Our business is all about attracting new visitors to heritage railways around the UK, supporting them to keep a love of steam alive in future generations.

Primarily, we run journeys on steam lines where we hire a coach or whole train - usually pairing it with something different, whether that’s fish and chips, a famous children’s character or an iconic locomotive.

Fox & Edwards Events now regularly welcomes over 120,000 passengers to heritage railways each year - and contributes over £1,000,000 to the sector.

For our partner lines, we remove the financial risk and organisational stresses of larger and more complex events. We pay clear agreed fees, then manage everything from staffing and enquiries to promotion and licensing requirements. If you would like to discuss with you, you can contact Olly by emailing [email protected]

The business has also purchased and invested in several carriages to improve the journey of visitors. These help us give back further to the sector and set a high standard that ensures people make great memories with us.

Into the Future

There is always so much developing at Fox & Edwards Events and we’re looking forward to bringing those exciting new options to you.

Key to us is improving the physical accessibility of heritage railways through improved and adapted carriages. We want visitors to be able to enjoy the same standard of accommodation as far as possible in heritage vehicles.
