Step on-board a lovingly restored steam train and travel back in time on Blaenavon's Heritage Railway departing from Furnace Sidings station, NP4 9SF
Take in the experience of riding in heritage carriages from the 1950s on a seven mile round trip along the line - in easy reach of Newport, Cardiff, wider South Wales & Gloucestershire.
As we chuff along, look out on the varied landscape of this former coal-centric railway in the heart of the impressive Valleys.
Fish and chips (or sausage / veggie alternative, chosen when booking) are served/collected at the start of the journey to be eaten on-board. You will also be given with a drink and scrumptious flapjack or large biscuit.
Trains depart in the afternoon between 12:00 and 16:30 (shown by date as you book) and the journey lasts approximately 50 minutes.
We have some great reviews from our journeys around the UK including:
"It was nice to have a bit of nostalgia from childhood memories"
"Staff was pleasant and helpful polite, questions through emails was quickly answered fantastic service"
"Lovely relaxing day out"
"Thank you to all who helped make our day feel really special. We all felt like VIP's. Well done!"
Dogs are welcome on-board, but must not travel on seats.
Please note that tables are arranged in fours. Groups of two may be seated on the same table as other groups of two.
