Step back in time on board Britain's longest standard gauge heritage railway for a 23-mile scenic steam train journey from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead.
Enjoy both scenic countryside and views over the coast through the window as you chuff along on the outbound leg of the journey, then spend some time at Minehead Station where you will be able to see the locomotive against a backdrop of the sea front. Maybe pop into the Buffer Stop Shop for gifts and souvenirs or Readers Halt, a second hand book shop.
A delicious cream tea consisting of locally baked scones with jam and clotted cream, plus tea and coffee will be served to your table on the return leg of the journey as you chuff back to Bishops Lydeard.
At over three hours in length, this journey is a true experience to be remembered.
