Railway200 Celebration Dinner (Leicestershire)

Date & Time: Thursday 9th October at 19:00

Join us for a special evening marking 200 years of railways with an unforgettable evening aboard the Great Central Railway.

Your evening begins at Loughborough Central Station, where you'll step aboard the first-class dining train for a relaxed steam-powered journey. As you travel through the autumn countyside, a delicious two-course meal will be served at your seat.

The train will be hauled by the stunning visiting Jubilee-class locomitive 'Bahamas', built in 1934 by the North British Locomotive Company. A true powerhouse of the steam era, Bahamas was the last steam locomotive in Britain to be modified for improvement in 1961, marking the end of 15-years of steam development. With the engine due for overhaul soon, this event represents a rare chance to enjoy it's magic before it is swansong.
