On Saturday 28th September, Fox & Edwards Events will be joined by Bing at Tanfield Railway, bringing lots of fun and excitement. There will be steam train trips and the chance to see Bing at intervals.
Start your visit at Andrews House station (NE16 5ET) where there is large free car parking. Pick up your free story book for every child here. Our vintage steam train will be waiting to welcome you for a journey of approximately 45 to 50 minutes. This relaxed journey is approximately six miles in total. There is a pause at a middle station for toilet visits and snacks/drink.
Every child and infant will receive a gingerbread train biscuit and juice carton, too!
When we return, head to the museum building where Bing will be waiting for friendly waves and to see fans like you. Don’t forget to bring your camera to get some snaps!
Journey Times
Trains depart at 10:00, 11:15, 12:30
Please arrive between 20 and 30 minutes before your booked train departure. We expect your total time on-site to be approximately 90 minutes.

Advanced booking is essential as we expect all trains on this date to be popular.
Private Compartments
Offering exclusivity, private 1900s compartments have windows on both sides of the train and two long facing seats in a separate booth. There is no corridor.
Up to Four People (any age) - £79.95
Up to Six People (any age) - £109.95
Up to Eight People (any age) - £129.95
Flexible Seats
These seats are arranged in twos, four and some shared compartments with a number of arrangements to choose from on-board.
Adult tickets are £22.50
Child (aged 6 months to 11) tickets are £12.50
Infants six months and younger are free.
